With his hauntingly sweet melodies and polished
guitar playing, Jared Woods is quickly becoming
one of the hottest singer-songwriters around.
Whether playing solo acoustic or rocking with his 
band "Woodrow", Jared is at his best on stage.  
Jared describes his sound as "Bi-Polar Pop" and he
is most often compared to Jude, Elliott Smith,and
John Lennon.
The twenty-seven year old native of Anchorage, 
Alaska grew up listening to the pop sounds of
Cat Stevens and The Beatles.  In High School he
played guitar in the jazz band and also sang in 
the chior. His appreciation for many different styles
of music grew during this time and inspired him to
write songs.  While attending music school in L.A.,
Jared recorded his first album titled "Carnival Ride"
with Guy Marshall doubling as engineer and 
producer.  Track one was a catchy pop tune called
"Tonight" that blew up on mp3.com reaching 
number one on the pop/rock charts and holding 
it for two weeks.  His second album 
"Spilled Drinks & Starlight" released in March of
2004 has recieved rave reviews and is being 
played on radio staions all over Alaska and all 
over the country.  Jared is currently recording his
third album to be released on 12 Records in
early 2006.
Jared has gigged with: John Gorka,
Shawn Mullins, Erin McKeown, The Gin Blossoms,
The Donnas, and The Young Dubliners.
